Lyrics
Partners to their places like horses to the tray
Join hands and circle to the left
Swing your other partner
And your own
Everybody promenade home
First couple cut the figure-eight
Swing your other partner, woo
Swing that calico from the wall
Promenade
Join hand and circle to the left, woo
Swing grandma, then grandpa, and meet that girl from Arkansas

- Recorded on March 10, 1927 in New York City. John Dykes plays the fiddle, Hub Mahaffey plays guitar and Miss Myrtle Vermillion plays autoharp. This trio, along Dock Boggs, impressed the Brunswick label enough during an audition in Norton, Virginia that they were invited, with Boggs, to New York to record. This tune is a variation of a fiddle tune more popularly known as "Johnson Boys." The "Magic City" referred to in the name of this string band was Kingsport, Tennessee, which was a planned city established by the owner of a railroad.
